I have relisted many veils as well as the Daisy caps and a couple other items. I plan to list some Traditional caps Monday. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that my schedule is erratic and tenuous presently so order turn around times on ANY sewn items could be a month or more. Many blessings to all, Miss B January 25, 2012 Dear Friends, Just a quick note to let everyone know that I HOPE to resume sewing NEW ORDERS on February 1st. My mother-in-law fell and sustained serious injuries, so I have been out of pocket lately. Many blessings to all, Miss B December 15, 2012 Dear Friends, As this year draws to a close, let me say thank you for your continued support and patronage of Plain and Simple. We do not know what the next year brings, but I am convinced of God's goodness through it all -- both the joys and the sorrows. There may be some changes at Plain and Simple as we continue to figure out what is best for my mother-in-law and what role I need to play concerning her needs. I will be pondering that for the next month or so and as soon as decisions are made, I will let everyone know. Until January 15, I have set all sewn items (except those that are sewn and ready to go) as OUT OF STOCK as I will not be sewing again until after the new year. Right now, I am busily finishing up out standing orders, of which there are quite a few. Thank you for your patience the past couple months as I have had to snatch bits of time here and there to work on orders due to our family circumstances. On non-sewn items, until I reopen for sewing in January, everything will be 15% off. This is a good time then to get some cute bandannas or stock up on hair pins! Many blessings to all, Miss B Dear Friends, The first of November, we moved my 89 year old mother-in-law from out of state to be closer to us and other family members. She is requiring more care and visits than we thought, so I am spending a lot of time away from home (and Plain and Simple) these days. Because of this new responsibility, I am afraid order turn-around and shipping dates are going to be rather random and could be extended in some cases. I plan to keep Plain and Simple open for business, but please order with the understanding that rush orders will likely be impossible and order turn around for sewn items will push the 4 to 6 week mark in many cases. August 20, 2012 Things have been very busy this summer as I have gotten back to sewing... LOTS of orders, as well as getting everybody to various camps and back, and ready for or seen off to school. Turn around time on orders therefore is running a bit late, most orders (if any sewn items are included in your order) are not shipping for 4 weeks. I'm sewing as fast as I can! Here is a reminder of our processing and shipping schedule.... ORDER PROCESSING & SHIPMENT Since many items listed as "in stock" are custom made and NOT pre-made, normal order processing and shipping time for sewn items is approximately 3 to 4 weeks from receipt of payment. Orders consisting SOLELY of non-sewn items (patterns, hairpins, etc.) are shipped asap. Thank you for your patronage and your patience! Miss B June 9, 2012 Thank you to all who prayed for me during my illnesses, surgery, and recovery! I am very happy to say that, as of today, I am feeling good, my eyes are working as they should, and am able to get back to work. I will be finishing up older out-standing orders first, and hopefully can re-open for new orders by next Friday, June 15th. Thank you, Miss B May 5, 2012 NOTICE! Most of our sewn items will be marked out-of-stock beginning May 5 through Memorial Day. Straw hats, patterns, crocheted snoods, and hair pins will still be available to order and will be shipped during this short hiatus. In a few weeks, I will be having surgery on my eyes to correct a problem that has grown much worse as I have aged. I will be using the next week or so to catch up on out standing orders, then will not be able to sew (or drive, or read, or...) for a week or more after the procedure. If you are inclined, I would appreciate prayers for a successful outcome! I very much hope to be able to continue to sew and drive for a good while yet. Thank you, Miss B
