ALL ORDERS are shipped USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation.
January 2012 - the USPS is in trouble, but it is presently the best method for shipping your order. Prices have increased and options have decreased. Shipping prices are rather convoluted, based on weight and geography, even with Priority Mail under a pound. Your shipping costs are based on your order total and Western US (west of the Mississippi River) or Eastern US address. Refer to our shipping chart below. The shipping & handling will be automatically calculated in the shopping cart when you check out.
International Orders
Prices for USPS International Priority shipping have gone up considerably AGAIN (Jan 2013). Anything that cannot fit in a Priority Flat Rate Small Box or envelope will be shipped International First Class and transit time will be variable. If you are ordering from outside of the United States, the basic shipping charge is $22/$27.
For international orders over $50, shipping cost is $45 to include insurance and for Canadian orders over $50, shipping is $35.
If shipping is higher due to the weight of your order or your locality, I will calculate the shipping for your order and send you a PayPal bill for any remaining charges that apply. Since many of our items are custom made and not pre-made, normal order processing and shipping time for SEWN items is approximately 3 to 4 weeks from receipt of payment. Please note that we sometimes get backlogged with orders, or illness/family business may cause an interruption, therefore shipping can run slightly past this time frame. If you need your order by a certain date, please contact us. We will work with you, and often can bump your order up if need be. If your order consists of only non-sewn items (patterns, hair accessories, etc.), it will normally be shipped within three business days from receipt of cleared payment. It is our desire to ship out your coverings as soon as we receive your order. That being said, we are a small home based cottage business and our desire is seldom achieved. We do our best to have orders shipped within four weeks. Notes from Miss B (link in the left hand bar) is a good place to see if there are things going on with us that would slow us down. Besides weekends, we have regular store closing times for holidays and vacations - see our Store Schedule. Orders may be placed during our off times, but orders will not be processed or filled until we reopen. Orders placed during closed times will therefore be delayed in shipping. When closing times are coming up, we will post an announcement on the Home Page so you can order before hand. If you have a need for your coverings by a certain time, feel free to contact us. Through the years we have learned to not promise shipping times, but we will do our best to accommodate your needs. International orders do take longer. Knowing this, we do our best to have them shipped as soon as we can. Please note the information about international funds on the Policy Page.
